Ecuador has joined the group of countries that support Japan, which recently was punished by Mother Nature with an earthquake and a tsunami. The Ecuadorian Red Cross and the Embassy of Japan opened two saving bank accounts, where everyone who wants to help japanese can deposit monetary donations.
Panama will donate $1 million worth of beef to Japan in the wake of last week’s devastating earthquake and tsunami.
The proposal was presented by President Ricardo Martinelli on Tuesday during a cabinet meeting and unanimously approved, according to a state press release.
Cuban authorities said they were ready to send a team of doctors and rescuers to assist in rescue efforts in earthquake-stricken Japan, Cuba’s AIN news agency reported on Tuesday.
Cuban Ambassador to Japan Jose Fernandez de Cossio also said all Cubans currently in Japan were ready to render any necessary aid.
