Cycle for Japan’s fundraising
On Friday 11th March 2011 an Earthquake measuring 9.0 magnitude hit offshore of north eastern Japan (Tohoku region), triggering tsunami waves of over 38 meters (124ft), a nuclear meltdown/fallout and one of the most devastating natural disasters seen in our lifetime. Currently it is estimated that 28,000 people lost their lives and in excess of 430,000 people have been left homeless from their worst natural disaster for nearly 100 years.
We are keen to do something to show our support for the Japanese people and to try and help them re-build their lives in whatever way we can. We are organising 2 events on Saturday 4th June 2011 and trying to get as many people who would like to take part to come along and join us.
