Over the coming months, 20 of the most innovative and dynamic Japanese companies are flying to the UK to help re-energise post-earthquake UK-Japan trade and investment links.

The companies are visiting courtesy of the joint UK Trade & Investment and British Airways ‘Reassure and Rebuild’ campaign, which is supported by Hilton Hotels and the Nissan Group.
The British Ambassador, David Warren, hosted an Awards Ceremony on 7 September for the winning companies. Welcoming the guests, Mr Warren, said “I am standing together with three large multinational companies, as well as 14 innovative and dynamic Japanese businesses. Our message is unified: Japan is back in business. We all share a desire help rebuild Japan’s economy by reassuring people back home that Japanese business has bounced back since March. 130 Japanese companies applied for this competition which demonstrates the demand within Japanese business for greater trade and investment ties with the UK”.
