President paid his condolences to the government and people of Japan over the recent earthquake and the subsequent tsunami wave that claimed thousands of lives of people the country as well as the trail of destruction that the disaster caused to property. He was, however, happy to note that the people of Japan are doing everything possible to contain and prevent the spread of the dangers and hazards from the earthquake and the tsunami which adversely affected nuclear reactors.

The Support Tohoku Campaign, starting from May 1 to September 11, 2011, is aiming to promote purchase of products from afflicted areas in Tohoku* stricken by the Great East Japan Earthquake on March 11, 2011. We believe that after urgent disaster relief and monetary donation, another stage of support is needed for people to stand from the ground, which is revitalization of the local economy.

Sometimes it’s hard to find the exact words to use. It is difficult to comprehend the profound loss of life and property as a result of the recent earthquake and tsunami in northern Japan. We offer our deepest sympathies.We just wanted to let our customers know that our relationship goes beyond business. We have grown to appreciate and respect the Japanese tradition of establishing a personal relationhip and a true partnership.

Famous local artists like Fonseca, Choc Quib Town, Silvestre Dangond, and Andres Cepeda, to name a few, and several others; made a collaborative effort with Sony Music and came up with an album titled “For Japan”. The money raised from the sale of this album, will be donated to the victims of the earthquake and tsunami that recently transpired Japan.

After the horrifying catastrophe in March 2011, a group of creative companies who had been working with colleagues and businesses in Japan tapped into their networks to support the project “Wishes for Japan”.

The north coast of Japan was hit by a horrible tsunami after a 9.0 magnitude earthquake that occurred 80 miles offshore. This fund is supporting organizations providing relief and aid to victims.

モザンビークの方が日本へ救援に。Loving Japan.  I’m not quite sure where to start, It was an amazing priveldge to go to Japan and sit with the people who’d literally lost everything. Our aim as Iris Relief 2nd response team, was literally to go and love people, bring joy, hope and encouragement.

Others did more intricate work, tenderly wiping dirt off Buddhist statues and stone carvings.
It’s not the way out-of-towners normally spend the start of the Golden Week holiday, when people commonly leave big cities to visit their hometowns, take hot springs vacations or travel abroad. But after the March 11 earthquake and tsunami decimated northeastern coastal towns and left an estimated 26,000 people dead or missing, these are not normal times.
