日本、アメリカのアーティスト、グラフィティライター、フォトグラファー等が、被災地の復興支援を目的に、手掛けたアートワークを一同に集めたCHARITY ART SHOW、「S.O.S -SUNS OF SILENCE-」。様々なストリートブランドが肩を連ねたサポートのもと、各々の想いを乗せた1点モノ髑髏のアートを展示販売し、その収益の一部を東日本大震災後、被災地にて復興活動をしている団体”BOND & JUSTICE”に寄付する。

渡波小学校の校庭に流れついた町のカケラ達（ガレキ）を使ってオブジェを作りました。
「町のカケラ達」を子ども達が自由にくっつけて、自由にオブジェを作りました。
悲しみの固まりが、子ども達の力によって優しいオブジェに生まれ変わりました。

3月11日、東北地方一帯は日本観測史上最大の
地震・津波により、甚大な被害を受けました。
今もたくさんの方々が避難生活を余儀なくされています。

現在、多くの方々のご支援により
東北は少しずつ復興に向けて歩み出しています。

宮城県仙台市に店を構える画材販売.jpも、
「何かできる事は何だろうか」という思いから
このプロジェクトを立ち上げました。

アートに関わる人々の力で
大きな復興支援の動きを作っていければと思います。

東日本大震災で被災した東北や関東の美術館の所蔵作品を通して、被災地の今を考える展示会が、２日から東京芸術大学大学美術館で始まった。展示会「今、美術の力で－被災地美術館所蔵作品から」は、宮城、岩手、福島、そして茨城の８つの美術館と大学にある、絵画や彫刻など、およそ３０点を展示。

岩手県内陸部に位置する奥州市は、比較的被害が少ない地域です。被災地ながらも、現在では多くの世帯が普段の生活を営んでいます。
何十もの割れた食器を片付け、でこぼこの車道を走り、ひびの入った家屋に住みながら、学校に通う人、報道を続ける人、絵を描く人。
街の人々は早々に被害の大きな沿岸部への支援を視野に入れ、復興の基盤となる”日常生活”を実現させようとしていました。東京に住む私たちよりも身近に、長期的に復興を支える岩手県内陸部の人々は、震災後の数ヶ月間どんな”日常”を過ごしたのか。
今回は平面絵画を中心とした作品と地元新聞紙面を展示し、震災発生から現在までの”日常”をアートと報道の両面から読み解きます。
また、「その街のクリエイティブ」と題したシンポジウムではまったく立場の異なる３名のパネリストをお招きし、長期に渡る復興を支えるための街づくりや私たちのこれからの生活のあり方について幅広く考えます。

Designers for Japan is a loose collective of designers, photographers, art directors and imagemakers from around the world who were spurred by the catastrophe of Friday March 11 to do something, anything to help and to express our love for our friends and colleagues in Japan. So far, it encompasses a set of prints to be sold for charity, an upcoming charity auction and this website. We hope there will be more to come. On March 11, 2011, Japan was devastated by one of the worst earthquakes in recorded history. At the current writing, the death toll stands at over 1000 people, with many thousands more still unaccounted for. Worse than the loss of life is the loss of infrastructure; entire villages have been obliterated, and hundreds of thousands are currently unable to return to their homes. Which is to say nothing of the nuclear meltdown that may or may not occur!

Basically, Japan is in a very bad way, and it’s up to us to help them.

Japan has given those of us of a nerdly sort a lot over the years: sushi, angry dogs with curly tails, unsettling pornography, feminine dudes with huge swords, painstakingly thorough RPGs, and SO MUCH MORE. It’s only right and fitting that we repay them, so we’ve decided to put together Art for Japan. Basically, we will be holding an eBay auction of cool goodies in the upcoming weeks and donating the proceeds to Japanese earthquake relief; it’s not rocket science, but like NASA, it DOES depend on you. We need you to donate whatever you can—art, books, whatever—from your creative endeavors in order to make this a roaring success. All proceeds will go to help the Japanese people dig out from under this pile of calamities, and you’ll get the warm and fuzzy feeling that comes from doing something nice for people in a whole mess of trouble.
