日本サッカー協会の小倉純二会長は１９日、東アジア連盟から２万ドル（約１６０万円）の義援金を受けることを明らかにした。韓国からは２５日のホンジュラス戦（ソウル）の収益と１万ドルが寄付される。東アジア連盟の総会、理事会で申し出を受けたもので、ほかにグアムは募金で２万ドルを集め、台湾が１万ドルを申し出た。小倉会長は「全部で１０万ドルくらいになる。ありがたい」と語った。

In a show of love and support for the Japanese community after last Friday’s earthquake and tsunami devastated sections of the country, Junior Reid and his One Blood family have come together to raise funds to be sent to Japan in aid of those affected by the disasters.
Funds will be raised from the proceeds of last and next week’s instalment of his weekly Japanese Thursdays event, held at Club View on Eastwood Park Road.
The Japan disasters occurred on the second staging of Japanese Thursdays and Reid has now opted to partner with Yumi (a Japanese native who frequents the club) to contribute proceeds to the country.

The sun broke through the rain clouds Sunday morning as Josh Duhamel and Fergie sprinted for a cause at the Youth Run for Japan in Santa Monica.Inspired by the devastation faced by the Japanese people in the aftermath of the earthquake and tsunami, actor Josh once again partnered with the American Red Cross, following up with his fundraiser last year for Haiti. “When I saw some of those images come out of Japan, I’d never seen anything like it,” he said compassionately.It was a close call for Fergie and her band The Black Eyed Peas, who were in Japan to shoot a video a mere week before disaster struck. “Leaving there we had such a positive vibe and then this happened,” she said. “We were all tripping out that we were just there in Japan. It was just a wonderful chance for us to give a love letter back to Japan.” (ETonline.com)

アフガニスタンと台湾からの募金運動の報道　Mar 19 – Afghanistan and Taiwan raise money for earthquake and tsunami victims in Japan. Julie Noce reports.

Ecuador has joined the group of countries that support Japan, which recently was punished by Mother Nature with an earthquake and a tsunami. The Ecuadorian Red Cross and the Embassy of Japan opened two saving bank accounts, where everyone who wants to help japanese can deposit monetary donations.

米AT＆Tは現地時間2011年3月15日、東日本大震災の救済支援に義援金27万5000ドルを寄付すると発表した。フランスの人道支援機関「Telecoms Sans Frontieres」、米国の医療援助機関「Project HOPE」、人道支援組織のポータルサイト「Aidmatrix Network」を通じて寄付する。

Chieko Rambo practices the Japanese harp, hoping it will eventually strike up donations at a charity event for disaster relief in Japan, “They have tsunami and surrounded by cold water and cold weather and just thinking about being there is hard for us.” Chieko is an administrator at a Japanese school called Orlando Hoshuko Inc, many of her students are worried about their relatives back home, “The frustrating thing, they can’t call the phone doesn’t get through and they don’t know where is the family and can’t contact them.”
She’s still trying to find out who needs help, “We are sending emails and asking whose families affected and still thinking what we can do.” Her mother and brother are also in Japan and says they’re safe. But she worries what kind of impact it will have on her homeland, “They are just shocked by this disaster.”

The concert in the video took place in London 17.03.2011. Brazil’s vast Japanese community began to step up efforts to raise funds for the country’s quake and tsunami victims on Monday (March 14) as many still struggled to receive news from their loved ones. Since the powerful quake hit the island-country on Thursday, many immigrants living in Sao Paulo’s downtown district of Liberdade have changed their routine.
The neighborhood, which is like a slice of Tokyo, is home to many of Brazil’s over 1.5 million Japanese descendants.
